I can't imagine how this must feel.

I remember the pastor of my church going through this when I was about 10..I always wondered how his family was dealing w/ all of it.

My own family has been ripped apart by infidelity. The sucking thing is, the infidelity was mine. After a lot of work (and truthfully, we're STILL working), our marriage was put back together.
I don't know what the road ahead is going to be like for you and your family, I'm not saying that God will do the miracle for your parents that He did for us. I share this to let you know that there's always hope, and there's always healing.
And I also think that there's never a complete answer to "why". Not on this side, anyway.
You've heard Romans 8:28 quoted numerous times in your life. So had I. Now, you are going to find out what it really means...and you are going to find out that it's really true.
Keep worshiping God in your anger, your pain, your questions. And you have my prayers.

Just know that we all feel your hurt and amazement, but of course no one can see it exactly from your shoes. I am totally sure of at least one thing, and that is that your dad still loves his family tremendously. Beyond that, none of us can know reasons right now, or justification.

I honor your committment to forgive, because it has to be hurting like almost nothing you have ever felt before. We love you, we pray for peace and grace in all of this, but especially to you, your family, and Rose.

My wife and I were talking the other day about how prevalent infidelity is these days. It's EVERYWHERE! Our worship leader revealed to us a few months ago that he's been cheating on his wife. I just don't get it....

Rat, what can I say. My heart aches for you, your mother and all those impacted. I know the pain of betrayal when a husband leaves and the gamet of emotion, physical pain and anguish it brings. And the pain for the children when their father is gone, no matter what their age when it happens. As I type this, I cry for you, your family, your mother, your father - and myself again. I know that you are such a real person with God, your Father and that you will give him all your thoughts and emotions - He can deal with them. All I can think to say right now is that God is faithful - He has been faithful to me and my children and he is faithful to you too, in the midst of ALL things. In the pain and anger and tears and...........keep your trust in him - He will uphold you with his right hand and comfort you all in your distress.

My heart breaks for all of you. Unfortunately, I do know the utter inner turmoil you are feeling......Chris knows only too well also. Your mom is going to be ok because all of you will give her the love and strength she needs. You are all in my thoughts and prayers constantly.
